What to do when you need more space on your iPad.

To check your storage usage in Settings, go to General, scroll down a bit and check Usage
Delete all apps you were not using
If you're not sure about deleting an app you can open it on your home screen and delete it from that.
Check on how much storage you saved after you do this
Delete photo doubles
Go to settings, iCloud photos and camera and turn off iCloud Photo Library
Also turn off my photo stream
If you have a lot of photos on your phone or iPad you can use cloud storage options either iCloud, dropbox, Google photos, Flicker, MSOneDrive
You can also store them on the hard drive of your computer. Synch with Photos.
Check out Photo Transfer App in the App Store. You can move photos to any computer with this app.
Go back to check the storage.
Now see what taking up most of the room.
Podcasts? No harm in deleting. You can get them later.
Some can't be deleted from settings. IBooks. Open app to delete books you do not want.

You have back ups of all the photos you deleted in your photos app. If you're sure you do not want to use on your iPad you can go in and delete them. Your iPad or iPhone keeps them for 30 days before deleting.
